Viruses’ threats

There are different types of viruses that can affect your computer. File virus, boot sector virus, macro virus and virus hoax. These all have different ways to mess up your computer, file virus sets its self in to a category and usually in a program file where it can hack into different places. A boot sector virus infects floppy and hard drives and will load before the operating system. The macro virus is a new type of virus unlike the other viruses they don’t affect your programs just your documents so if you notice any gone missing then it will be this type. Last of all the viruses is the hoax virus, this virus does not exist even though there are rumours about this virus it has no existence. Although they do find different types of viruses each year, the first PC virus was a boot sector virus called ©Brain, created in 1986 by two brothers, Basit and Amjad Farooq Alvi, operating out of Lahore Pakistan

 Cyber bullying

Cyber bullying is a big problem all over the world, you hear people self- harming all over the world from others the same age saying stuff such as, you’re a looser, fat, ugly or fugly.  This is a big topic to talk about because no matter where you go you will always get people who judge you and that is horrible. Below this description there will be 5 facts I have got of the internet and along with the website I got them off.
*     Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide.
*     70% of students report seeing frequent bullying online.
*     68% of teens agree that cyber bullying is a serious problem.
*     About 75% have visited a website bashing another student.
*     81% of young people think bullying online is easier to get away with than bullying in person.

How it gives elderly people independence

The internet can help elderly people because they can do there own food shopping, play bingo and card games if they haven’t got nothing else to do. The internet is really good for old people because you can find out useful information like, how to cook a certain meal or what ingredients they need. If an elderly person was hoping to get something but didn’t know how to get it or didn’t understand it then they could simply research the name of the product and within a matter of seconds they will understand. People consider everyday living with a small but varied Purposive sample of people with high support needs. Below this is some evidence to back up my answers:
·         Recognises the importance of individuality for people with Challenging lives.
·         suggests a framework for eliciting views from people with communication difficulties
·         presents emerging themes and identifies implications for older people themselves, policy makers and commissioners, practitioners and researchers

Goal line technology

Goal line technology is used to detect weather the ball crossed the line in the goal. These are used all over the world; six super-high-speed cameras shooting at 500 frames per second (that's 20 times faster than a normal camera) track every movement of the ball as it flies across the pitch. At least 25 per cent of the ball must be visible for the system to work. That means that if the ball went over the line in a melee of bodies after a goalmouth scramble, the system would probably not be able to make a call. Goal Ref's sensors can be implanted in just about any ball - something which will keep ball sponsors happy.  A very similar system named Cairo’s was an early front-runner for approval as a goal-line technology, but that system fell by the wayside due to the need to hold a microchip in the dead centre of expensive and specially-manufactured balls made by system co-creators Adidas. There are cons in this as well which make this not as good as it seems these are  It might be simple, but the lack of bells and whistles mean that it's simply nothing like as hot  as Hawk-Eye for TV viewers with all those replay possibilities. However, FIFA have offered that any system should only be usable by match officials - though probably only while people get used to it - which might give Goal Ref a head start.

Smart phones

On June 29th 2007 there was a new type of phone that came out and everyone wanted it. It first came out on o2 and then orange. Once more people brought this phone it finally got released on more of the networks such as Vodafone, Tesco’s and all the others. This phone is called the IPhone. The IPhone has everything you could possibly need on a phone, Facebook, music, face time, messaging and lots more. Recently their has been more released such as the IPhone 5, and the IPhone 5s. They have been getting more technical every year and more and more people are buying them.

Since the 1980’s phones have been getting more and more useful, over the years they have been getting more and more experienced with internet I mean 10 years ago we didn’t even no how to send a text because the technology wasn’t that strong. There are plenty of different types of apps that are available such as banking, food shopping and if you or a family member are on a contract then you can download an app to keep check ups on how much their bill is, Facebook so you can chat with friends and we even have an app where you can record programs on sky. The disadvantage of having a IPhone is that they are made from glass so one mistake then it’s a smashed phone or a very badly cracked screen.  The new software that has come out takes up a lot of space so that is a down fall because you won’t be able to download the things that are important. These phones aren’t good for a person who works on a building site cause of the dust but someone who works in a office they will be fine. Smart phones have changed peoples lives because more and more people are spending time on there phones communicating instead of going out and interacting without using their phones.
